Thank you for visiting my blog!
The reason for this blog is to provide useful information as my way of saying thank you to all the people that have contributed to my life whether it be family, friends, co-workers, authors of books that have influenced me or someone who created a website from which I gained useful information.
Our world has changed so much since I began my journey into computers back in 1981 (did I just tell my age) when I was introduced to the Radio Shack TRS-80. I am grateful to be a part of this transformed world where we have computers in our pocket that keep us connected in so many ways.
While I began my journey into computers when I was in High School, I did not really make a decision to go into the software development field until I was 24 years old but I have been steadily improving my skills ever since. I have worked in a variety of fields all the way from car mechanic, bagging groceries, pizza delivery, janitor, plumber, accounting, and on into the software development world.
I started my software development career in C / C++ and eventually converted over to C#. I have worked on a variety of projects that included database platforms of SQL Server, Oracle, Btrieve, Pick, and other platforms. I mainly have developed Windows applications but have also worked on web projects to a lessor degree. Many of the projects I have worked on are used in Fortune 500 companies which are comprised of back end services and multiple connected systems. I have had the awesome joy of working on multiple startup projects all the way through the delivery and maintenance of those projects which has given me a very unique experience that I value. While on these projects I got to be a part of helping to develop the various layers and interconnections of those applications and have learned many valuable lessons in what to do and what not to do.
In 2005, I began Traxware Inc. as a startup software company and went full time in that business. Over the years I have contracted with a previous employer and continued my relationship with long time colleagues. I also began purchasing properties in 2005 and converted them into rental properties and have successfully built a revenue stream from those properties as a result. I am currently involved in a new startup business My Rent Finder, LLC that is all about supporting property mangers and tenants and helping to connect the two.
I look forward to a continued journey toward making the world a better place to live in and helping others through this blog.
Again, thank you for visiting my blog and I hope you enjoy the journey with me!
